Services

Treating you like the athlete you are

Chiropractic Adjustment

These adjustments are directed toward the joints that are not moving as they should and are sending off alarm signals to the brain. Chiropractic adjustments utilize patient positioning, doctor positioning with low or high velocity to restore function, increase ranges of motion, and decrease pain. Chiropractic adjustments can be used to reduce pain in the spine, ribs, jaw, and extremities.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation

Instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM), or Graston, is widely used for dynamically affecting the soft tissues including fascia (a shirt-like covering for all muscles, bones, nerves, vessels, and fat). By mobilizing this specific soft tissue, we can break up a lifetime of adhesions that decrease motion and alter the mind's perception on where the limb is in space.

Dry Needling

Dry needling uses the same filament that Acupuncture uses. The act of inserting a microfilament into the skin is used to promote healing systemically and segmentally by affecting the neurological system that controls muscles, and joints that are not moving the way they should.

KinesioTaping (KT/Dynamic)

KinesioTaping is beneficial for athletes or everyday individuals. By providing neurological input, the body will have an increased awareness of itself in space (proprioception). This should not be viewed as a brace or bandaid, but rather a way to enhance biomechanical function in areas that may be injured or at a mechanical disadvantage.

Manual Therapy

This service is directed towards the soft tissues of the body that may be contributing to aches, pains and movement dysfunction. Manual therapy techniques have a wide variety and are used in different situations. Ultimately the muscle will be worked on to promote overall function within the musculoskeletal system.

Cupping

Cupping, unlike other manual therapies mentioned, is decompressive in nature. In acute situations the body may react more positively to a decompressive force rather than pushing on an injured muscle/tissue. This modality is widely used to force blood into injured tissues to promote healing. Cupping can be a stand alone therapy, used in conjunction with movement, or applied after dry needling.

Therapeutic Exercise

Therapeutic exercise or "REHAB/PREHAB" is a scalable approach to optimally loading tissues involved in injury or movement dysfunction. These exercises will be tailored to fit the space and equipment you have.
